Energy Pyramid
For each level, the amount of energy decreases every time is transfers to the next level.
The tertiary consumers have the lowest energy since many calories have been kept by previous consumers. Only 10 kcal has been transferred.
The secondary consumers have the
second lowest amount of energy.
If the primary consumers have 1,000 kcal, then only about 100 kcal will transfer.
The primary consumers have the second highest amount of energy. If there is 10,000 kcal of energy, then about 1,000 kcal is transferred.
The primary producers holds the most amount of energy. Since they convert from light, they hold about 10,000 kcal.
